I was born and raised in a small town on the Minneosta prairie and now I live in Missouri, the portal to the beautiful Ozarks.

I am a writer of mystery and suspense, short stories, tragic verse, screen plays, newspaper food columns, employee manuals, and real estate advertising. My writing background includes newspaper advertising for restaurants, hospitality and real estate, employee manuals and guides, and the designing of many restaurant menus.
I'm avid learner of subjects that fire my imagination.
I've written since childhood. As a youngster, I'd occasionally dream a marvelous poem, get up out of bed, in my sleep, write the poem on my tablet, and in the morning find nothing but scribbles on the page. As an adult I write entire books and screenplays. But now my poetry is sad, tragic and deeply personal.
I am, in addition, a tapestry artist. I now weave a special tapestry for the cover images of my books.
During more than twenty-five years in management of small hotels and restaurants I absorbed a huge amount of information, not only about the industry, but about human behavior. These years of experience provide me with a rich source for writing authentic hotel background.
I access that memory material for writing mystery and suspense books and to fill out the characters in my book series, Eva Wynn-Roger's Small Hotels Mysteries, about a woman of undetermined age, Annika at Wilderness Hotel, a pre-teen/teen immigrent to Minnesota from Sweden in the 1880's, (mystery books for young girls), and The Kansas City Marvels series for older boys and adults.
Soon to be finished, “The Kansas City Marvels – Where's Carmine?”, “Annika At Wilderness Hotel – The Intruder”, both due to be available by the fall of 2011, and another Eva Wynn-Rogers book, “Red on Red” is in progress.
Three of my books are about how to open and operate a small business with only two people: Disigner Pie Shop, Designer Sandwich, Soup and Salad Shop, and Designer Cookie Shop”, all available at lulu.com. I'm in research for another, similar, food business book.

I taught myself to write screenplays for practice in cutting out the unnessary from my writing. I've written four screenplays, and I wrote articles for a foreign fiber arts magazine (Echoes), a local travel magazine, (Travel Host), and took part in weaving a piece for the 9-11 Memorial Tapestry, a cooperative effort by tapestry artists from almost twenty countries and displayed in numerous venues all over the world.
